Winnie the Pooh always believes that a quotation is handy
thing to have about saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself, always a laborious
business. So like pooh I wouldn't to put
myself in one of those categories who doesn't not have anything else to say and
rely on others words to keep their message conveyed. For this year Fashion doesn't need any contemplation or redemption since it was huge and all over the places. Starting with the lawn few, runway fights and the fashion council's big guns fights, the year ended with much hope projection.
Few of the designers nailed marvelously on ramp and few made audience to put last nail on fashion coffin. But still with the lost of high and lows the fashion industry completed their 2012 journey with much success and many upcoming promising brigade like Ammar Shahid, Fahad and Deepak, Misha Lakhani and Hina Butt have proved themselves for better fashion future with their collection on ramp. The Fashion weeks were not entirely about late night, high heels and too many contrasts, not just between established labels and emerging artists' intent on making noises and those that are thoughtfully murmuring into our ears. Take a glimpse with S plus in this much happening fashion yearly roundup and read who touched the sky and fell down from the sky. (Published by The Nation Sunday Plus December 30, 2012)
